Retirement-Begins today!

Combined Photos

As of September 30, 2018, I am officially retired!   From being a runner in the 60’s and 70’s to opening Runner’s Supply Shop on February 1, 1978, Sally & I have been involved in running each and every day.   That all came to an end on September 30, 2018, and the Ohio Office of Enmotive has been turned over to Greg & Jenni Everal who will manage the Ohio Office.

Pictured above is my new office that has just been completed and is located at our home as an additional building.   We have heat/air, our treadmill & elliptical, a new desk and computer setup, plus a 20 bottle wine cooler.   What else could one ask for in retirement!

Actually it has been a bit difficult, those of you who have already retired will understand, particularly those of you who have been self employed.   But, I look at it as a new beginning and a new opportunity to do some things I have not had time for over the past 40 plus years.

One of those opportunities is to resume my running and walking in the spring of 2019 and to participate in some events.   What got me into my running and timing businesses, has gotten pushed aside over the years.   It will be great to go to some events as just a participant.

The Ohio Challenge Series was my creation and I will continue to update and monitor through the coming months and be responsible for the banquet on December 1  at the Tool Shed located at Breitenbach Winery,  5934 Old Rte 39 NW, Dover, Ohio 44622.   The get together at Breitenbach Winery is FREE for Series participants and $10.00 for guests.  Kids 10 & under are free.   Awards will go to Top Female and Male Finishers in each of the 4 categories will receive a cash award of $250. (If eligible by HS & College Guidelines).    Top three in following age groups will receive (in all 4 categories) an award (non-cash award) to be determined.   Age Groups for the 5K, 10K, & Half will be: 18 & under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, & 80 & over.   For the Competitive Walk: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59. 60-69, 70-79, 80 & over.

If you have questions concerning upcoming events (other than the Series itself), please contact Greg Everal at   For questions for me and the OCS, please email me at

Thanks for your support of our sport over the years and your support of the Ohio Challenge Series over the past 20 years & the 25 years of Runner’s Supply!   Be sure to come to the banquet at the end of the year for those in the 2018 Ohio Challenge Series.

See you at the races, Terry & Sally Lewis

Girls on the Run & ADM Recovery Challenge

Two Ohio Challenge Series races took place this morning, GOR at Walsh University and ADM at IBH Addiction Recovery Center in Akron.

Top Finisher at GOR (Women Only Event) was Hannah Ison in a time of 20:55.1.   At ADM the men were led by Mark Dudek in a time of 19:46.2 and the women were led by Hope Murphy in a time of 24:11.2.   Congratulations to nearly 1500 participants who took part in these two events!

Traveling Man…

Humboldt4I have missed a number of the last few local events as I have been traveling from Great Falls Montana, across western Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and just last weekend in Northern California at the Avenue of the Giants Marathon & Half  Marathon assisting some of our other Enmotive Timers.  It has been fun to visit other areas and other events, but races regardless of the location and runners regardless of where they are from are all pretty much just like those in Ohio!   T Lewis-Enmotive Ohio.
